LYNN

Arrests

Angel Avelina, of Willow Street in Lynn, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, shoplifting by absorption, shoplifting of a shopping cart, and for a warrant at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Taisha Garcia, 27, of Cottage Street in Lynn, was arrested and charged with a courtesy booking at 6:32 a.m. on Wednesday.

Karen Pojoy Perez, 25, of Boston Street in Lynn,  was arrested and charged with a marked lanes violation, operation under the influence, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, alcohol from an open container, possession of liquor of a person under 21, assault and battery on a police officer, and interfering with a police officer at 1:34 a.m. on Thursday.

A report of a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries at 9:53 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Union Court and Union Place.

A report of trespassing at 6:01 a.m. on Wednesday at 34 Market Square.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday on Lighthouse Lane. Peace restored.

Motor Vehicles

A report of a motor vehicle stop at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday on the corner of Pleasant and Devereux streets.

Accident

A report of a motor vehicle collision at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday past the Route 99 split on Broadway. 

Complaint

A staff member at the Red Roof Inn reported receiving multiple noise complaints from other guests at 2:57 a.m. Thursday at 920 Broadway. 

Disturbance

Staff at the Red Roof Inn reports the woman who was the subject of a noise complaint is now in the lobby causing a disturbance at 3:26 a.m. Thursday at 920 Broadway. Dispatched officers reported peace was restored, and the woman was advised she would be removed if any other issues ocurred. 

Suspicious

A caller requested a check on a female in a gray Nissan Rouge at 8:48 a.m. Wednesday at Nasty Nonni’s Wine & Spirits, 325 Main St. The caller said the woman seemed off. Dispatched officers reported no vehicles matched that description in the area. 

A manager reported a party checked out of a room at and left a taser behind at 12:24 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Spring Extended Stay, 832 Broadway. Dispatched officers retrieved the items. 

A 911 caller reported two males going door to door with no visible identification at 6:20 p.m. at 19 Juniper Drive. Dispatched officers reported they drove the length of Juniper Drive and did not find anyone. 

Tim Wendell from the Department of Public Works to report a suspicious motor vehicle on Highland Park that has been running for over an hour at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday at 3 Highland Park. Dispatched officers reported the man in the car was on the phone with his girlfriend and wanted some privacy. 

A caller reported two males going door to door at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday at 4 Ledgewood Road. Dispatched officers reported an area search was negative. 

Thefts

A walk-in report of identity fraud at 10:37 a.m. Wednesday at 53 Auburn St. 

A caller reported a male and female operator were attempting to break into a car in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday at 1075 Broadway. The caller said the suspect vehicle fled toward Route 1 south. Officers spoke with the caller, who said nothing was taken from the vehicle.
