press-releases

SALEM — Plummer Youth Promise celebrated the groundbreaking of its new trauma-informed residential building on Sunday, Nov. 12.

Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, state Rep. Manny Cruz, state Sen. Joan Lovely, and Salem Mayor Dominick Pangallo all offered remarks to mark the occasion.

Former Plummer resident Jonathan Flores closed out the speaking agenda, sharing how the Plummer team helped him go from an “at-risk youth” who “had nobody” to a successful college student with a strong support system. He received a rousing standing ovation.

The new residential building will create a dignified, trauma-informed living space for the youth and a visiting apartment for the families it serves, finally matching the standard of excellence set by its groundbreaking work, bringing Plummer Youth Promise into the future.
