It all comes down to Saturday night. In what many tabbed as the most exciting series of the NBA playoffs, it certainly has not disappointed as the East heavyweight showdown between the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks will require a Game 7 to determine who advances into the conference finals. The Nets seek their first ECF appearance since 2003, while the Bucks look to make it back for the second time in three seasons. Milwaukee will try to erase a six-point deficit entering the third quarter.
This series has been dominated by the home team, which plays into Brooklyn’s hands in Game 7. The Nets won Games 1, 2 and 5 at home; the Bucks took Games 3, 4 and 6 in Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. held serve on Thursday, but must snap the trend of road losses if they wish to advance. James Harden has returned for the Nets and continues to work his way back from an injured hamstring. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving (ankle) remains out for Saturday’s do-or-die contest.
