Barber: Mourning the 42 journalists killed since Oct. 7
press-releases

As of Nov. 15, at least 42 journalists and members of the media have been killed in the Gaza Strip, Israel, and Lebanon since Oct. 7, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Admittedly, it can be difficult to confirm death tolls during an ongoing conflict. However, this week’s reports suggest that the current war has caused more than 11,000 deaths in the Palestinian territories and 1,200 deaths in Israel, according to authorities on both sides.

On Wednesday, CPJ confirmed the deaths of one Lebanese, four Israeli, and 37 Palestinian journalists. Several others are injured or missing, and 13 are reported to have been arrested, according to the committee.
